Why learn about Kinesics?
It is just so that we can learn and understand how our bodies work and react. In more practical cases, learning about kinesics allows us to read others' body language and understand them without the use of words. Furthermore, we can "read" others and know what they really think of you as they might verbally agree, but portray certain behaviours that might say otherwise.
